Lang jack extract

Eurycoma longifolia is a tall, slender evergreen shrub-tree commonly found in Southeast Asia. Malaysian men claim that tea made from this plant improves their sexual abilities and virility. As a result, this plant is in such high demand that it is now considered a “protected” species.

The root and bark of Eurycoma longifolia are used for treating erectile dysfunction (ED), increasing interest in sex, male infertility, boosting athletic performance, body building, and reducing body fat. Eurycoma longifolia is also used for fever, malaria, ulcers, high blood pressure, tuberculosis, bone pain, cough, diarrhea, headache, syphilis, and cancer.

Lang jack extractHow does it work?

The root of Eurycoma longifolia contains several chemicals that have different effects in the body. Some of the chemicals seem to affect how the body produces the hormone testosterone. Research in animals and humans suggests it might increase testosterone in the body.

Over the past few years, there have been quite some studies that have shown it to have sex-boosting properties. The effects were studied on the libido of male rats after giving them with several dosages of long jack daily for 10 days. Results showed that longjack produced a dose-dependent increase in mounting frequency, that is, the number of times the male rats tried to mount the female rats increased as the dose given to the rats increased.

Even if longjack powder or longjack extract do stimulate or help release testosterone, we don’t know at this time whether this would continue over time or whether testosterone supply would be used up with repeated, daily longjack use.

Even though it is quite useful as an herbal aphrodisiac, it does have shortcomings. One of the side effects of high dose Longjack root powder or extract is that it can cause insomnia. Lack of adequate sleep, when repeated over many days, can lower sex drive. So, it’s better to take smaller amounts over a few day period than a very high amount in one day.

High doses of longjack cause insomnia and increased body temperature along with restlessness and irritability. Long term side effects of Longjack on human health are not known. Do not take this herbal extract more than 2 or 3 days in a row.
