Summer and Sweat is an irrevocable combination. Its all OK..or may be… until sweat breeds smell…!! Of course none of us ever want to smell like a dead fish.

You go to a drug store and search for a talcum powder or a deodorant that can help smell good all day… Are antiperspirants a good idea or a plain deodorant and talc do the trick??? Honestly if you smell like I would rather like vomiting that smell you, then its a serious case of consideration!! And no matter how many layers of sweet smelling deo you apply, your stinking body odor remains somewhere in the distance… !!

I mean what when no such factory manufactured anti antiperspirant and deodorants were not there… did people stink like a rotten rat?? Is there no other way to terminate body odor and smell fresh all day even if it is summer! 

Of course there are, but first lets turn to face some facts then we will move on to some easy home remedies to kill bad body odor.

There are many factors that are responsible for body odor. Expert says it’s the result of breakdown of protein into some acids such as propionic acid, and isovaleric acid. Body odor is also caused by-

You should avoid food that contains high fats and excessive amount of oil. Spicy food and non vegetarian food is a big NO for the people who have strong body odor. It’s more than bad hygiene that can lead to embarrassment.

  • Eat citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruit, and lemon they can change your skin’s pH level. They are highly effective on the bacteria causing body odor.

  • Lavender smells so nice, apply lavender oil on your skin it helps to fight back from odor causing bacteria. There are few more essential oils easily available in drug stores.

  • Green vegetables are not only good for your health but they can help you get rid of odor. Add green vegetables like spinach, celery, and chard in daily diet they contain high amount of chlorophyll that has strong deodorizing effect.

  • Applying tea tree oil on the armpits and other sweaty parts of the body, it has nice fragrance and it kills odor causing bacteria.

  • White vinegar and alcohol prevent bacteria and sweat, rinse the underarms and pat dry your skin with towel.

  • Be hygienic! Clean your problematic areas with soap or body wash and use sponge or loofah to clean your body. Change you undergarments every day.

  • Shave or wax your under arms on a regular basis. And keep it clean and dry to avoid fungal or any other type of infections.

  • Juice of wheat grass helps to prevent the unpleasant smell. Drink wheat grass juice with water on an empty stomach every day.

  • Add 1 or 2 cups of tomato juice in the bath tub and soak the body in the mixture of tomato and water for 20 -25 minutes.

  • Avoid eating garlic in summer, and other acidic herbs and spices.

  • Spicy and non vegetarian food is also a bad option if you want to smell fresh and prevent body odor.
